Lviv State University of Internal Affairs Conducts an Interactive Session on Combating Domestic Violence

Vira Protsiv, Deputy Head of the Public Relations Department at the Lviv Patrol Police, along with her colleague Sviatoslav Herchakivskyi, an inspector in the same department, engaged with the cadets of Lviv State University of Internal Affairs.

To commence the session, the speakers invited the youth to participate in the "Circle of Safety" game, which allowed them to gain insights into the issue of domestic violence and engage in discussions on how to address such cases.

Vira Protsiv provided an explanation of gender stereotypes and elucidated their potential harm.

The police officer stressed the various manifestations of violence, highlighting that it can manifest through both actions and inaction.

Towards the end of the session, the speaker introduced the cadets to the "No Small Things" chatbot, accessible at https://t.me/no_trivia_bot.

Vira Protsiv encouraged young people to actively combat violence. She also emphasized that anyone affected by violence should be aware that they can receive support and assistance.

As a reminder, Ukraine has a government hotline for combating domestic violence - 15-47, and a centralized contact center where individuals can seek free legal aid - 0-800-213-103.

Reports on domestic violence can be made using the chatbot at https://t.me/police_helpbot or by calling 102.
