International cooperation of Lviv State University of Internal Affairs is carried out in the prescribed manner under the terms of existing agreements with foreign institutions of higher education. Particularly, main areas of the development of international activity are:
- participation of Lviv State University of Internal Affairs representatives in international events;
- involvement of foreign specialists into participation in scientific and practical events organized by the university;
- searching for new partners in order to implement joint activities of mutual interest.
Thirteen educational institutions from the Republic of Poland, the Republic of Moldova, the Republic of Serbia, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Serbia / Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, and the Republic of Armenia are partners of the university. According to the reached arrangements, issues related to the signing of cooperation agreements with police schools from the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Federal Republic of Germany, Hungary and the Slovak Republic are being agreed. Hans Seidel Foundation Representation in Ukraine (Germany), Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), European Union Advisory Mission to Ukraine (EUAM), Association of European Police Colleges (AEPC), Prague Security Studies Institute and Police Education and Training Unit (Czech Republic) are also partners of the university in joint events.
Due to the specifics of educational process, main focus is on foreign educational institutions for training law enforcement officials. Thanks to the signed agreements on cooperation, many joint events were held, which contain mutual scientific and practical interest - conferences, seminars, workshops, internships, exchange of cadets, scientific and pedagogical staff. In addition, scientific and pedagogical staff of Lviv State University of Internal Affairs are regular participants in international programs competitions related to obtaining grants for internships outside Ukraine. Thanks to cooperation with foreign partners, there is an exchange of cadets with police schools of Serbia, Poland and Germany.
Accordingly, there is an opportunity to gain progressive foreign experience and implement it in the field of police training. Obtained results are published in articles, scientific periodicals of Lviv State University of Internal Affairs and partner educational institutions, becoming structural parts of monographic and dissertation researches.
Specialists from foreign educational institutions and international institutions are traditionally invited during scientific and practical events at Lviv State University of Internal Affairs. Foreign representation provides an opportunity to reveal scientific horizon, deepen pedagogical experience and implement it in the field of police training.
Obtained results and practice of their implementation in educational process are reflected in reports of foreign business trips and sent to the Department of International Cooperation and European Integration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
