Future investigators defend the results of their internship in the form of a police quest

This year's graduates of the Faculty No. 1 of LvSUIA completed internships in practical police units. For three months, young men and women had the opportunity to learn more about the work of investigators.

Having gained practical experience, the cadets returned to the university. And each of them have to protect the results of their internship in the form of a police quest. Its purpose is to develop professionally important qualities, creativity and teamwork skills.

The defense of internship results begins with the theoretical stage. After that, subgroups, which include up to five people, choose one of the situational tasks by drawing lots. Each of them is a plot of a criminal proceeding, the participants have to carry out a complex of investigative (search) and other procedural actions. Each team decides independently what actions to take.

The police quest continues in five different locations. Participants are given plots such as premeditated murder, child abduction, rape reports and drug discovery.

After completing the task, the cadets report on the results of their work to the commission. Its members include representatives of practical police units and university teachers.

Defending an internship in the form of a police quest makes it possible to assess the knowledge and practical skills of future investigators, their ability to work in a team and find solutions in difficult situations.
