The great traveler and truth-seeker: Hryhoriy Skovoroda's memory was honored at LvSUIA

The event on the occasion of the anniversary of the birth of the Ukrainian philosopher, poet and teacher Hryhoriy Skovoroda took place at the Lviv State University of Internal Affairs.

Lyudmyla Andrushko, an art expert and specialist of the department of social and humanitarian work, addressed the audience with opening remarks.

"Skovoroda not only wrote wise and thorough books, but also presented the practical science of harmonious life in the world," she noted.

The presenters of the event, Yuliana Litvinova, a cadet of Faculty No. 1, and Bohdana Onyskiv, a student of the Institute of Law, read inspired prose texts dedicated to Skovoroda.

"Today we have the opportunity to follow the paths of his life, to reread the pages of his works. It is a matter of honor for us to join his wisdom and bright poetic words," Yuliana Litvinova noted.

During the event, talented cadets and students of LvSUIA also performed. Artem Danylenko, a cadet of Faculty No. 1, recited Hryhoriy Skovoroda's poem "DeLibertate," and Denys Svynaryk, a student of the Institute of Management, Psychology and Security, read the poem "Oh peace, our beloved! Where can I find you nowadays?"

Tetiana Soyu, a student of the Institute of Management, Psychology and Security, performed the touching composition "Candle". The song "City of Spring" dedicated to Lviv was also sung.

In the second part of the event, the audience watched the documentary film "Great Ukrainians. Hryhoriy Skovoroda". It is part of a cycle about ten prominent Ukrainian figures. The presenter of the tape, actor Ostap Stupka, talked about unusual facts from the life of the "traveling philosopher" and dispelled myths related to him.
