Meeting with explosives unit specialists was held at LvSUIA

A practical training for the cadets was conducted by Vasyl Matviy and Yevhen Teliuk, employees of the Department of Explosives Service of the Police in Lviv region.

They told about forensic explosives and its main tasks. In addition, they focused on security measures in case of detection of explosive devices or other suspicious findings.

"As police officers, you will often come across unknown objects, so you have to act very carefully. It is important to keep a safe distance and know how to prevent threats," Deputy Head of the Explosive Service Department Vasyl Matviy said.

He also noted which explosive devices and ammunition are most often used by the enemy and what is the principle of their action.

In the second part of the meeting, Senior Inspector Yevhen Teliuk acquainted the attendees with the work of the Cynological Department and explained how service dogs are trained.

It should be noted that Lviv explosives unit specialists recently returned from the de-occupied territories, where they were engaged in mine clearance.
