LvSUIA joined the Coalition “1325-Lviv region”

The relevant Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the Rector of Lviv State University of Internal Affairs Roman Blahuta.

Representatives of state authorities, local self-government, public organizations and institutions of higher education joined the coalition.

The participants of the Memorandum agreed on cooperation regarding the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 "Women, peace, security" in Lviv region, as well as the National Action Plan for its implementation.

"Due to such a coalition, we have the opportunity to combine our efforts to solve exactly those problems that are urgent in the Lviv region. After all, each region is special and this should be taken into account. In total, 14 such coalitions have already been created in Ukraine," the Head of NGO Center "Women's Perspectives", Regional Coordinator Liubov Maksymovych said.

She emphasized that the members of the Coalition "1325-Lviv region" will work together on the implementation of joint projects and initiatives and conduct information and educational activities.

The main activities of the coalition will be ensuring the women's participation in the peace process and the restoration of Ukraine, combating domestic and gender-based violence, protecting the rights and taking into account the needs of victims of war, as well as creating a barrier-free environment.
