Graduation ceremony for police officers was held in Lviv

Today, graduates of Lviv State University of Internal Affairs have received bachelor's degrees. Young officers will join the ranks of law enforcement officers in 14 regions, where they will work in the units of investigation, criminal police and preventive activities.

The event began with the solemn performance of the National Anthem of Ukraine. After that, the attendees observed a minute of silence in memory of the fallen Ukrainian defenders.

Inna Yashchuk, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, delivered a welcoming speech on behalf of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko.

"Today, the family of the National Police has been replenished with talented young people. This is a great event for you personally and your relatives, for whom you have become a source of pride by choosing the vocation of defenders of the Ukrainian people. The state and, first of all, those citizens who are still in the occupied territories are waiting for you. After the coming the of the police officers, Ukrainian history, power and law return there. Your energy, education, and inquisitiveness will contribute to the development of the law enforcement system according to the world's leading models," Inna Yashchuk said.

Maksym Hrytsayenko, the First Deputy Head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, also addressed the youth. "Please accept my sincere congratulations on such a significant life step. You successfully graduated from the university and became highly qualified specialists, which the state needs in war times. I wish you good luck, inspiration, peaceful sky and Victory!", he emphasized.

Taras Sozanskyi, the Acting Rector of LvSUIA, congratulated the graduates and noted, "The state has a difficult situation, because we are at war. Tomorrow you and your colleagues will be able to serve and bring the Victory of Ukraine closer. Over the years, you have acquired enough knowledge and I am sure that you will use it with dignity."

The best graduates of the university received a number of awards. In particular, the Scholarship of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine named after Denys Monastyrskyi, awards and encouragement from the Lviv Regional Military Administration, the Lviv Regional Council, Lviv City Council and the Police in Lviv region.

LvSUIA cadets Anna Ilyina, Yuriy Sochyn and Mariia Prokopenko prepared a touching creative performance on the occasion of the event. They performed the composition "Ode to law enforcement officers".

The Priest of the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross of the Lord (UGCC) Fr. Volodymyr Kepych, and the Priest of the chapel of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin at LvSUIA Ivan Revutskyi, held an initiation for the graduates to serve the Law and the Ukrainian people and blessed them for a bright future.

A farewell ceremony with the university flag was also held.

At the end of the event, the young officers marched on the parade ground of their native university.
