Cadet of LvSUIA became the prize-winner of the Language and Literature Competition named after Taras Shevchenko

Sofia Shevchenko, a first-year student of Faculty No. 1, won the second place at the regional stage of the competition. Its participants were students of higher education institutions in Lviv region.

"I love the work of the Great Kobzar, I often reread his poetry. Shevchenko's words are especially relevant during the war. After all, he wrote about our national identity and urged us to unite in the fight against the enemy," the cadet said.

She was prepared for participation in the competition by Oksana Klak, Assistant Professor of the Department of Foreign Languages and Culture of Professional Speech of the Faculty No. 2.

Taras Shevchenko International Language and Literature Competition for Pupils and Students is held every year. Its main tasks are to reveal creative young men and women, develop their potential, as well as to educate the young generation to respect the language and traditions of their people.

Contestants traditionally write essays on a given topic and perform grammar tasks.
