Information about the department
The Department of General and Social Psychology was established within the Educational and Research Institute of Management, Psychology and Security in December 2024. The main areas of research of the department are: theoretical and methodological foundations of studying the processes of development and functioning of the individual as a subject of activity; studying the peculiarities of the psyche manifestation in professions and sports; psychological problems of research of stability of the activity; psychology of interaction, communication and patterns of effective psychological influence on the individual; psychological factors and conditions of readiness, reliability and efficiency of professional activity; psychological and psychological-pedagogical bases of professional training and forecasting of person’s success; psychology of age development; socio-psychological foundations of organization and management in organizations; history of psychology and study of biographies of representatives of different epochs and peoples in the formation of psychology as a science, sequence and logic of expressed ideas in psychology; methodological aspects of the study of professional reliability of the individual in different conditions, differential and gender direction in psychology, etc.

Studied at the Postgraduate Department of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. In 2006 defended dissertation thesis on "Psychological analysis of interpersonal interaction of teachers with high school students." Published a monograph on the topic of the dissertation research. Has been working at the university since 2004; since 2007 – has been working at the position of an Associate Professor of the department. In 2011 received the academic title of Associate Professor. In 2014 defended doctoral dissertation at G.S. Kostiuk Institute of Psychology of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine on the topic: "Genetic and psychological principles of optimization of pedagogical interaction in educational institutions of various types" in the specialty 19.00.05 - Social psychology; Psychology of social work. In 2018 received the academic title of Professor of Psychology. Has completed a full course of professional training of specialists aimed at working with children with developmental disorders and stress management training, the first level of Gestalt therapy, masters music therapy and neurography. Is a member of the "Ukrainian Association of Family Psychologists", runs a private practice.

In 1995 graduated from Drohobych Pedagogical Institute named after Ivan Franko in specialty “Primary education and practical psychology”. For more than 12 years has worked as a practical psychologist at the Oranta orphanage in Drohobych. From 2001 to 2017 worked at the Department of Psychology of Ivan Franko Drohobych State University. In 2007 successfully defended dissertation on "Psychological features of socialization of adolescents in terms of family deprivation" (specialty 19.00.07 – pedagogical and age psychology). In 2012 was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor. In 2009-2012, working as a psychologist at the DSSSD "Oil Refinery Complex - Galicia", provided advice and professional selection of inspectors of the security and protection service. Has been working at Lviv State University of Internal Affairs since 2017.
2019 - In 2021,studied for doctorate at the Ivan Franko State Pedagogical University, speciality 011 Educational and Pedagogical Sciences. In 2021, successfully defended doctoral dissertation on the topic: ‘Theory and practice of raising orphans in the context of the personal paradigm in Ukraine (XX - early XXI century), speciality 13.00.01 - General Pedagogy and History of Pedagogy).Experience of scientific and pedagogical work is more than 25 years.

Kostiuk Institute of Psychology of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine in specialty "Age and pedagogical psychology". In 2009 defended dissertation on the topic: "Psychological features of the attitude of younger and early adolescents to alcohol consumption." Has been working at the university since 2005; since 2009 works as an Associate Professor of the department. Experience of practical, scientific and pedagogical work is more than 17 years. In 2014 received the academic title of Associate Professor. Has published a textbook "Psychology of deviant behavior" and a practical manual co-authored "Psychology of development, change and career of the individual." Psychologist-volunteer of the Crisis Psychological Service of Lviv. Psychologist of the Department of Psychological Rehabilitation of the IMC of the CL (2014-2019). In 2009 graduated from Ivan Franko National University of Lviv in specialty "Psychology". Since 2009 has been teaching psychology at Lviv State University of Internal Affairs. In December 2012, entered the postgraduate course of the Kharkiv National University of Civil Defense of Ukraine. In 2017 defended PhD thesis and obtained the degree of Candidate of Psychological Sciences in the specialty 19.00.09 – Psychology of activity in special conditions. The topic of the dissertation research is "Psychological features of the development of managerial competence of future officers of the National Police of Ukraine". In 2022, she obtained the title of associate professor of the department.

Education. In 2000,graduated with honours from the V. Stefanyk Precarpathian University, in 2001 received a master's degree from the same institution and received a speciality: ‘Teacher of Pedagogy and Psychology; in 2012, after completing postgraduate studies, defended her dissertation on ‘Social Prevention of Sexual Demoralisation of Underage Girls in Ukraine and Poland’ and received a PhD in Sociology (22.00.04 - Special and Branch Sociologies).
Professional activity. Senior Research Scientist at the Department of Practical Psychology of the LNPC VET of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine (2002-2016). In 2017, was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor of Psychology. Since 2011, I have been teaching at the Ukrainian Catholic University. Since September 2016, I have been working at the Lviv State University of Internal Affairs, and since September 2021, I have been working at Lviv Polytechnic National University, as well as teaching pedagogical disciplines at the Basilian Monastery of St Joseph of the UGCC.
I have 30 years of teaching experience.
