The Vice-Rector of Lviv State University of Internal Affairs, Vasyl Franchuk, joined the regional flash mob #НЕ_ламай_калину. The event was held as part of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
The participants planted viburnum saplings, which is an ethno-national symbol of the Ukrainian women.
As the organizers note, the goal of the action is to raise awareness of various forms of violence.
LvSUIA Vice-Rector Vasyl Franchuk addressed the participants of the event. He emphasized the importance of discussing this topic and finding ways to counter violence.
Representatives of government bodies, local self-government, public organizations and city residents joined the flash mob.
The event was initiated by the Lviv Regional State Administration together with the NGO "Women's Prospects Center".
